So my subscription has expired. Ads are back, I can only view deviations 24 at a time, and I keep getting chastising pop-ups telling me I need to renew my subscription. As if it wasn't on purpose.

Honestly, it couldn't have come at a better time. I've just about had it with this website. Year after year it refuses to disable right-click downloads on things that aren't wallpapers or avatars. And year after year I find a shit-ton of my art, not only stolen, but being profitted off of on various websites. I recently was informed of a website for wallpapers where someone is posting mine and others' wallpapers as their own to build a reputation. And then DA has the balls to say I've stolen artwork and remove it without explaination or the opportunity to provide proof.

Considering I've been shovelling out money for a few extra features, you'd think they'd be able to hire a code monkey for a day to disable right-click.

I swear on everything I hold dear that if I see my artwork stolen one more time, I'm packing my shit and leaving. As is, I will never post work here again. I will leave existing works up until somebody else can't play nice and then they're going away.

I won't be giving DA any more money as well. Not even fractions of pennies they scrounge up out of their ads. I won't be looking at anything on the site either.

I'm not blaming the assholes who steal my art. I knew that was going to happen going into this. I blame DA for not protecting artists and completely selling out to the point that they spend more time on what their T-shirts and messenger bags look like rather than how happy their artists are. I thought this was supposed to be an art community after all.
